Brandon Bouier grew up in Detroit, Las Vegas, lived in Washington D.C., and currently lives in Seattle. He attended the University of Nevada Las Vegas where he received a BA in Computer Science. He interned as the City of Las Vegas, worked as a GIS Analyst for Clark County Nevada, an adjunct professor at Green River College, and was the IT Lead GIS Analyst at the City of Seattle performing spatial and crime analysis, and spearheading Seattle Police’s participation in the White House Police Data Initiative.

Brandon joined the Defense Digital Service (DDS) in 2016 where he worked on the Air Force’s Next Generation GPS system, traveled to Afghanistan to build and deploy code for NATO forces, managed the project to upgrade the US military’s recruiting system, and helped to implement code.mil. After nearly 15 years of government service, he has stepped out of the public sector and now works at AWS.
